Was there a Conrail-themed, room-sized layout published in a Model Railroad Planning issue? I seem to recall that there was and that it was loosely based on the Portland Secondary with one end of the layout being the Met-Ed power plant in Portland. It might have been in one of the issues in the early 2000’s.

Go to the top of this page, upper right, and you will find some fine, light gray printing. Click on RESOURCES, then Magazine Index, then All Magazines, scroll down to Model Railroad Planning. You wil have to click on each issue and check the contents.

You might be looking for “Big Blue in a Bedroom” by Joe Taylor in MRP 1997. I know I have the issue this layout appeared in, may have been an MR article, or even a GMR.

Mike Snell has a large Conrail layout. I think it was in a GMR issue abut 08 or 09…
