is ns and csx going to rapaint all the old conrail engines, or does conrail still have a few lines. I see that there is some pretty new ns paint on some older engines, I think those were old conrails.
I’m not totally sure I’m right but I think they are only going to repaint the former Conrail units that will not be retired in a few years. So expect most of the old GE’s and GM’s to stay in CR paint for now. But I have seen some GP-40’s,GP-38’s, and GP-15-1’s repainted. Conrail still does exist in the shared assets areas. THey have some SD-45’s and some older geeps. Read Railpace Magizine. They are very good on keeping up with the repaints and retired engines. That will help you out.
