I don’t miss CR at all. What little the PC didn’t destroy of the PRR CR took care of.

I would describe PC as the PRR trying to destroy the NYC. Conrail could be described as the NYC coming back and winning the war (vs the PRR).

James Miller Symes would have been the one at the PRR who decided to merge with NYC and let the N&W have the Wabash.

The July 1955 Trains has a 7 page interview by David P Morgan of Symes, covering the railroad and the industry. Perhaps Jim Wrinn could do something similar ?

Conrail is actually still around there is a section that wasn’t divided up between CSX and NS it operates track in Detroit and in New Jersey

Nazi Southern is a tern used By NS employees to described how strict they are on safety rules and the way the weed weasels treat employees

if nazi southern brings back conrail would have a chance to take over csx??? this is for anyone wants to talk about conrail. BTW yes i had conrail thread for everyone.

you call it nazi southern why? I dont want to here this someone else did it so i did it to stuff i have yet to have anyone come forward with hard evidance of there trashing norfolk southern or just southern railway . it seems that the 2 best railroads merged and then years later baught conrail not the other way around. on 2nd thought no need as it wont change anything the best railroad bought all that junk and we made those guys profitable again and gave them jobs,

because most of norfolk southern works call NS nazi for some reason

Sorry you miss old CR…from what I have learned since the breakup, glad to see that much of the CR “smoke & mirrors” upper management style is gone. (They knowingly got away with a lot of things that NS and CSX never would have and now those two are racing (still) to fix non-compliance issues found in CR’s closet)…

ah yes,… I was just gonna write about this, I know it’s not the Big Blue you guys were used to… But CR is still alive with that. I’m not a CR fan, some of my friends are… Just think you are the only fans of a fallen flag that still has rolling stock/locos that won’t be repainted. BN, however, is almost completly patched/repainted by now,… at least the equiptment they’re going to keep.
