Constant Lighting

Has anyone upgraded a post war or MPC era trains with constant lighting kits? Are they available? Thanks!!!

Try Train America Studios, www.tastudios.com. I have an old catalogue that lists high intensity cconstant light kits. I’m sure by now they have more variety.

I am sure we must have a good electronics person that can tell us how to build a hefty power supply to put in a baggage car and have it supply the entire train with voltage for the passenger lights.
It would have to be a rechargle battery so it could charge when train is not running and then run the lights off the battery when the train is running.
Why, otherwise you would defeat the purpose of too much current draw on your transformer when running just to keep the supply going.
I measured the current demand of my 8 lionel comodore vanderbuilt passenger cars and they take 5.5 amps just to light the train.
Now if we could drop that current draw from the train when running, you would need about 2 amps total to run the engine and not all the hefty power supply.
