Thanks, Robert Moses, for killing the Staten Island (Richmond Co.)-Brooklyn (Kings Co.) subway! Remnants of that aborted dig are still visible.
Thru should restore the north sore branch, there are far too many people living on Staten Island now for that borough to only have one route traversing the South Shore. When it was a full fledged railroad it had several branches until the MTA assumed control and obliterated it.
