Contractor Tutor Perini executes contract for California high speed rail

Is this firm related to the Perini Construction Co that started in MA as a road contractor some 75+/- years ago? Would be ironic, wouldn’t it.

I truly believe future generations of Californians will thank those who voted for this far-sighted project. Most of our major highways in and around cities are often choked (25 mph on a 10 lane freeway!) and not many people want more or bigger airports.

About 20 yrs. to make it to the other side of the state. The builders of the first transcon would have been fascinated by our modern construction advances…
