Control panel circuit - Atlas switch machine - LEDs -- UPDATED AGAIN

I made some changes to the drawing, if you copied the first drawing delete it and use the new one.

I have created a schematic for a Atlas switch machine. This circuit would be used on a control panel with the addition of LEDs.

You can view it at :

You need to park the pic somewhere (photobucket.com is one free possibility), then just put the image link in your post.

to put a pic on this site you first have to have it hosted on the 'net somewhere

a few good sires are railimages.com or photobucket.com; after you have uploaded the pictures, look below them, and either of the two sites will have a text block with the label “Forum” or “BBCode”. copy that entire line and paste it here.

Alternatively you could just right click the picture, and choose the “properties” option. put the ENTIRE address after the “Location” or “Source” label in between [img][/img] tags. (the * are so that the code shows up)

Why the two bicolor LEDs ? You could get away with just a single one but it depends upon what your control panel looks like. Here’s mine with a single color LEDs. Green represents closed and red is thrown. This is using Tortoises and DS64s but my other panel with DPDT switches looks the same.

I decided to use two LEDs just for my ease of use. One for each spur off of the rail switch. That way I know which rail is set as the throught rail. It’s just easier for me. If you want to use just one LED just remove it and it’s resistor. For 30 cents in parts and maybe 3 mins of work it’s not an issue for me.
