How long is 150’ scale feet if converted to HO scale (1:87)
150 scale feet in HO scale is 150 feet. I’m assuming that you mean how long is 150 scale feet in real (1:1 scale) feet? If this is what you’re after, divide the number of scale feet (150) by 87. This works out to 1.725 feet, or 20.7 inches.
Hop this helps,

The exact scale for HO-Scale is 3.5mm/ft; a millimeter (mm) is .03937"; hence 150’ X 3.5mm X .03937" = 20.66925" which is only 1/80% greater than 20 2/3".
That, dear heart, is close enough for guvmint work.
Is this a test? Your (OP’s) question is merely one small step from the answer.

One doesn’t need to do all that math-sounds impressive though…
Take your HO Scale ruler and measure 150’…
That has worked for me for at least 50 years.
I like Brakie’s solution. I bought an HO scale ruler (probably from Walthers) when I started my first model RR… and it has been one of the best tools I acquired for building my layout.

But that would require adding numbers if the length is greater than 86 feet. [:-,]
… I’ve got two or three of those rulers so at least one is always handy.

150 ÷ 87. HO is 87 times smaller than real life, as you have figured out; so there are 87 scale feet in every real foot. Then 1 scale foot is 1/87th real feet long. 2 scale feet is 2/87th of a real foot long. Thus, logically follows, 150 scale feet is 150/87th, or 150 ÷ 87.
Not to sound mean but you have been posting a lot of questions and 99% of them are things that you could have found your self with a little help of the search function conveniently located to the right side of the screen or from Google. We are all were new this hobby at one time and we all had questions but in the age of the internet a lot of things can be found with seconds. And once you find something good, book mark it for future reference, such as the website for Digtrax, you have posted several questions about how to wire the decoder, which is easily found in their manuals that are downloadable from their website. If you have exhausted all effort then by all means ask but having everyone here hold your hand on every thing you do is going to quickly get you no help at all.
True but there’s nothing wrong with hooking up with fellow modelers for basic questions. It’s a pretty small community and the more we keep in touch the better. [tup]
Mark,Here’s what I would do to measure 150’…I would measure the first 75’ then move the end of the ruler to my tick mark and measure another 75’…
BTW…I cut the end off that is left of the zero on the ruler since I never used it.

I am not sure I get your question. I think you may have mis-stated it, hench the few jokes at your expense.
150 scale feet in HO scale IS 150 scale feet.
DO you wnat to know what that is in inches? Centimeters? Milimeters?
Is it that you want to know what 150’ in real life is in HO scale feet?
Or are you trying to convert, say, 150 O scale feet to HO scale to reduce the size of, say, an O scale scratch building plan to HO?
Or 150 N scale feet blown up to Ho scale feet?
Print this out and keep it handy.
