What are the top 5 (or more) things you have created for your MRR and that you are most proud of. For me (at this time) it would have to be:
MoPac MoW wheel car (made using old axles and a converted 50’ flat and then weathered)
Corrugated metal sheet loads (from coke can aluminum)
Curved corrugated steel loads (from soup cans)
Coiled steel loads with real wood bracing
Cross tie bundles with real wood ties and real metal banding
I really like making my own loads from readliy available materials and seeing how realistic I can make it look.
My coolest single creation is a Baldwin 1894 side-tank 0-8-0 originally purchased as a brass kit, since upgraded to be useful in 1964 (40 years after the prototype was scrapped.) Added details include working (reversing) headlights, air brake system (compressor on the side of the smoke box, air tanks and cooling coils atop the water tanks) and knuckle couplers (the prototype ran its entire lifetime with buffers.) Also a paint job that makes it look as if it spends all of its time in the shadow of a colliery’s loading bins - which will be its eventual fate.
How about an old time N scale 4-4-0 camelback? I made it a few years ago. It runs pretty poorly (it’s the old Bmann mechanism), but maybe with some tinkering I can get her going.
I also have an 0-4-0 N scale track inspection loco (boxcab). Here’s a pic from a while back;
I know it needs weathered and more tweaking, but it was just a fun weekend project.
I would have to say that mine is my Wellsville Addison & Galeton (WAG) GE132 ton center cab engine. These engines were originally owned by Ford Motor Co.
It is fully operational with DCC control and directional fiber optic/LED headlights
It has to be a trestle that I scratch-built. Sorry, but it has been destroyed by an unfortunate accident, so I don’t have any pictures. I took a poplar limb that had fallen out of a tree, ripped it in by table saw to scale dimensional lumber, stained it and built a trestle about 3 feet long and about a foot high. I was really proud of it. I still have the pieces and when I get it back together, I’ll try to post a picture.

My milwaukee road SD10 would have to be my greatest running creation on my layout. But the thing that is being painted that I just can’t get my hands off, is my milwaukee Bipolar.
