Cork roadbed

Problem is not “Cork Roadbed”… The problem is “Cork”. It is a natural agricultural product and for some reason is in short supply.

If you Google “cork shortage”, there is nothing to support such a notion. Portugual, and the nearby geographic areas, provides most of the world’s cork supply, and all indications are that there is no shortage.

So! You are telling me that somebody has mis-informed the LION? After all, all of the LION’S information had its origins right here.

Be that as it may, the LION is still not using roadbeds for his railroad.

If Midwest indicates that there is a raw material shortage, I suppose that means that they are having a hard time getting a supply of cork. I’m not sure that necessarily means that there isn’t an abundant supply of cork in Portugal or anywhere else, or that the dreaded cork oak borers have decimated the crop.

Looking at the list of places where this tree is grown (http://home.howstuffworks.com/question550.htm), maybe they’re holding the cork ransom until they get the Euro situation figured out.

Here you go Harold.
