Cornerstone 933-2850 130ft Turntable with Roundhouse 933-3041 (not modern)

Can anyone advise if the combination of these models is acceptable?

The 933-3041 roundhouse was designed to fit with the Walthers 933-2840 90’ turntable. Here is the template:

The 933-2850 130’ turntable is designed to match the 933-2900 Modern Roundhouse. As you can see on the template, the 90 'turntable is about 13 3/4" in diameter, and you need another 5 3/16" lead from the pit edge to the front of the roundhouse. This roundhouse will always be 12 1/16" from the center of any turntable pit to the front door of the roundhouse.

The Walthers 933-2850 instructions show a mounting hole of 19 1/8"(plus the rim of the turntable). From the center line, it will be a minimum of 9 9/16" from the center to the edge of the turntable base. So it looks like you will have about 2 1/2" between the turntable and the front of the roundhouse - Pretty tight especially if you have the doors open! In fact, there just may be no clearance between the side of an engine and the door when trying to move an engine in/out of the round house. I know with our ‘Modern Roundhouse’ we glued the doors in the open positing due to a couple sideswipes. They may actually ‘overhang’ the turntable pit! The big roundhouse is ‘ON SALE’ right now at Walthers - Unless you already have the smaller roundhouse.

I have the 90’ Walthers turntable and use an Atlas roundhouse with it. It took a full evening with the template and a pencil to layout the spacing before I even cut the mounting hole!

Sorry I didn’t see your reply until now - forgot to ask for emails. I called Walthers prior to seeing your reply and the person there said the 130 will work with either roundhouse. He said they both have a 10 degree angle - I’m not sure how this could work with 2 different sizes. Also, your comments on the clearance concerns me. The vendor said I could return the roundhouse (but I loose shipping both ways).
