Could Hunter Harrison return to railroading … at Canadian Pacific
This move has been rumoured at CP for a couple of weeks. Employees that I talk to are dreading this; our shares will be more valuable but like our CN friends, the workplace will become a miserable place.
Bring on Hunter. Bye-bye CP to UP. CN will get all of Canada
East of Thunder Bay. And then so long CSX to the UP.
KSC to either the CN or BN. And then good night to the
NSC. The CN and BN will each half. Northern half to the
BN. The rest to the CN.
If you figure out why there are so many hockey teams south
of a line from Chicago to New York. Canadians just do not
go south to keep warm and watch hockey and golf but think
about what to do with their money.
Good luck Harrison. I have your two books.

It will be a cold day in Hell before Canadians will let CP go bye-bye. Getting rid of CP would be tantamount to the U.S. setting match to the Constitution. CP united Canada and is so much a part of Canada’s history. And let’s remember that CP is the only Class I railroad dating back to the 1800s that has never filed for bankruptcy.
