Could use assistance programing tsunami

I had a Tsunami installed in a HO,0-6-0.Because of the limited space, they used a modeltronics 1 1/2" speaker.I don’t expect “boom box” sound out of it,but I would like to get it louder than the very low sound that I’m getting now.I have the sound CV set at 255 And have been trying to increase the chuff, whistle, and water fill sounds,to no avail.I thought that I followed the instructions in the manual, but there is no improvment…Suggestions?

Did you seal your enclosure around the speaker?

And did you remember to drill speaker holes in the “coal” load?

Did you turn the lowest two octaves way down on the build in equalizer, so that energy isn’t wasted trying to reproduce low frequencies the speaker can’t do?

If all this fails…

Tonys and Lloyds have comprehensive evaluations of their speakers they sell including their sensitivity which is going to be a real reflection of how loud it will be.

Thank you Don
I’m going to try to change the equlizer settings.I know that I had been messing with them before I got "lost. I have been playing with the CV that sets to the speaker size(off hand I don’t remember the #.Maybe 130?) and have that set on 7(adjustable)…Guess I’ll keep at it before I bother Tony’s
