first off hello to all been a member for a bit but this is my comeback to the forum…ok I just picked up a proto 2000 sd60 electro motive for 37.00 new in box,also a sd70m SP new no box for 25.00 from a yard sale,then today I got 3 brand new sd70m UP building america for 100.00 just wondering if these were good deals?..
also was wondering if anyone knows of any good hobby shops in southeast mo. or the branson area??

Who made the SD70M’s? I imagine if they are used they are more than likely made by Athearn.
I go to Branson at least once a year. The only hobby shop I have been to in the area is Hobbytown. There is LHS in Hollister, I believe and a couple in Springfield.
they are athearn genesis going to branson week after next…springfeilds shops are not that good (at least I dont think so)
There is a hobby shop in Hollister, just south of Branson. Been there several times. I don,t recall the name, but look in the Model Railroader for the name and address. It is on the East side of SR 65. If you know where the College of The Ozarks is at on the West side of 65. Turn east off of SR 65. I think it is St. James st. Once you find St. James, turn rt and just over the creek on the left side. They have the LHS on the 2nd floor and there club layout in below.
