I tried to search where someone posted what type of coupler they replaced the drawbars with, but I can’t find it. So, what is a the correct replacement coupler? Those drawbars look terrible, and are a real PITA. Thanks…
You’re looking for replacement couplers right? Try going to Kadee.com to find the correct fit. They have couplers from HOn3 to G. There is a list where you can look up the specific car/loco and find out the right coupler type for that loco. It also lists an installation bit which includes installation instructions and an illustration. Try it and see what you can find.
These are a new release locomotive, so I was pretty sure that Kadee didn’t list them in the conversion chart, which they don’t. Like I said, somebody had mentioned a specific replacement here and I can’t find the thread. It is frustrating to say the least. With the cost of those locos (a lot of money for me, anyway), I want to do it right the first time.
