So, what is it, the next heritage unit or the presidential tribute unit I heard about?
Whatever it is, I’d seen those three in Proviso the night before. I can’t trace them from home, unfortunately.

Oh yeah, and it’s not supposed to be painted for George W. Bush, who is the current president, rather for his father, George H. W. Bush!!! [banghead] A fact completely missed by lots and lots of people!!! I have contacted the photographer on this one…

ITS THE PRESEDENTIAL UNIT It was Zach who found it, while chatting with Me, and I passed it onto Jim…Zach and I figured out its the presedential, look at the tape over the fuel tank, possibly hiding, what I thinks is the presidential seal or something, and the color of the handrails, the next heriatage unit will have yellow ones this unit has silver, and we know its going to college station, tx. So there ya go

This is the second loco painted for 41 or Bush, Sr.
CSX 7812 was painted, maybe even delivered, as 1992, The Spirit of America. If was used on his whistle stop tour during his re-election campaign in, surprise, 1992. It was solid blue with the yellow angled nose. A large flag was on the side and, when Bush, Sr was aboard, the presidential seal hung under the cab windows. It ran a number of years in this scheme and was even renumbered 7812 a good while before being painted in the gray/blue/yellow scheme.

Nah… Lincoln has his own brand of automobile, which he really had very little to do with… other than being shot in Ford theater… [:(]
