Cowboy figures

Preiser makes very nice cowboys/cowgirls in HO, with horses !! Check out their unpainted US Figures set. Even includes some with replaceable arms, so you can have them holding pistols at different positions if you want !!

Preeser? I’ve never seen them in Walther’s. Do you have a link?

Actually, I have no interest in figures holding pistols. I’m more interested in people going about their business. Seated Western figures are the hardest to find. Need to sit wagons, fences, and benches at the train station. How many gun battles can a layout have?

My brother-in-law got his on ebay . He also got O scale nude women on ebay and put them in the water with the cowboys peeking through the bushes … it was funny ! I think he took it off his layout now but am going to ask where it went . I forgot all about it until this thread . I know everyone loved it and will yours too . I just called and he said his wife made him take it off because of the kids ! He sold it on ebay on a buy-it-now and it sold in 1/2 an hour for top dollars ! Maybe they would be the next HOT item to produce and sell there . It really was a very funny scene and got alot of laughs .

When I went to the Preisser website, it was in german. I might manage spanish, but not german. Most of their figures had english saddles. I do not need nude women, but nude men. The scene will be cowboys bathing in a pond. I found some sunbathers and painted over their suits. I also painted soap and washclothes. I think that they will be fine.

Spacemouse, That must be a strong horse to drag that loco.

Thanks, Sue

That’s Rusty, a mountain bred mustang, ridden by GW, who works for the G&D spread. Both are musket minatures. It’s hard work to get those pesky locos out of their hidey-holes.

gear-jammer … Sorry … I did’nt think you meant you needed nude women ! Was just telling of a similar type scene I saw on a layout . Thank God I never needed or wanted nude men though … LOL [(-D]

Prieser makes (made) a figure set, “Adam & Eve” #16400, unpainted. They include men & women, and have seperate arms, legs & heads in different positions, so you can make them into just about any pose. (Cowboys nude probably looked just like bankers or doctors nude! Lawyers are probably something else[}:)]!)

Imex made/makes “American History Series” sets. #513, chuck wagon & prairie schooner set and #514 civil war ambulance & munitions wagon set. Both sets include sitting figures, and the civil war figure hats could be cut down to eliminate the “military” look. These are 1/72 scale, but will look OK if not placed too close to 1/87 figs. Looking at them right now, the figs don’t look any bigger than most of my HO figs, and the wagons are realls neat!![8D]

I will check out Imex.

Thanks, Sue

SpaceMouse, I am impressed with the Musket Minatures detail. They even had rifles in the scabbards on the saddles.

Thanks for the tip.

Sue

Here are the clothes on the bushes. I used foil. I tried tea bag material, but I was not able to manage it. Foil was hard enough at that size.

There are still more horses to go.

Sue

Sue, I hereby present the Blazing Saddles Trophy to you. You should submit that one to MR’s Trackside Photos series. It’s one of the best.

Why thank you. I am having fun with the details.

Sue

I saw the photos first on phoot-fun- I picked out the clothes bush right away.

I saved one pair of pants. I thought that I would have one of the horses running off dragging a pair of pants. Years ago I had a horse that would do mischievous things like that.
