I’m kicking off a new youtube channel that I’m taking more seriously than my spastic uploads of the past, and I thought that a good way to start would be to redo an old favorite. The original video was a lovely windows movie maker creation, but this one has MUCH better sound and quality.
The 2816 is one beautiful locomotive. One of my favorite pastimes was hanging out in the Vancouver shop when they had steam. I remember when the 2816 was just a set of rusty drivers in that shop. I happened to stop by one day when they first started steaming the 2816 up. It was quite a site having the 2860, the 2816, and the CP 3716, all next to each other on the two tracks next to the shop. It was like a scene right out of the 1950’s. I took some photos and I will have to post them sometime.
Please do! With these locomotives separated and only one of them steaming, it will be a great scene to look at. Amazing how quickly things change, even when preserving history.
It is tough to get a profitable youtube channel goin’, but if you put up more quality content vs. just as much content as possible, you’ll be makin’ money in no time. Mo’ money you make the mo’ betta equipment you can buy.
