http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoPicture.aspx?id=20377 What kind of horn is it? I dont know my horns and I cant get a good look at it.
I don’t know any thing about horn types. What I wish to know is why any one cares? On less your with in inches of a model all the horns look about the same.
After 5years of model railroading I still can not get use to those who rivet count. I have tried to understand but, can not.
To some of us, the details we add to our locomotives and cars do matter. In the case of horns, there are many variations: some have different numbers of bells and they can point either forward or backward, depending on the railroad and the locomotives they are applied to. I model CN and their road engines commonly have 3 bells with 2 forward and 1 reverse. However, on some units all 3 bells faced forward. To us “rivet-counters”, these details are immediately obvious. Chàcun a son goût! (That’s French for “each to his own taste.”) So, you enjoy the hobby your way, and we’ll enjoy it our way.
