hello
i am modeling the Canadian Pacific Railway from 1960s to the 70s (or some year between) and i’m just wondering what locomotives they ran during this time period and where i can get them from.
thanks

An interesting time to model, Canadian Pacific became “CP Rail” in 1967, and started to repaint their maroon and gray equipment into the “Action red” scheme. There are a lot of CPR and CP Rail engines available, do a search on Walthers. As far as what was correct for your era, it might be a bigger subject than can be handled in the forum. There are plenty of books out there that have rosters of equipment etc.
You need to get some books - the Color Guide to Canadian Pacific Railway Locomotives and the Canadian Trackside Guide (preferably an early edition). While there are no Trackside Guides from the 1960s, the early ones listed all the retired diesel locomotives too, with build and retirement dates.
CP in the 1960s employed a lot of “Canada-only” diesel locomotives - the RS10 and RS18 were the backbone of the freight fleet in that era, and CPA16-5s, FPA-2s and FP9s pulled a lot of the passenger trains. (Yes, I know the passenger units were sometimes found in the USA too.) Plus, CP got the first ever C424. Life-like has come out with the RS10 and RS18, or you can modify Atlas RS11s.
