I just noticed an internal posting for conductors and engineers dated 1-4-05 and has since expired. Anyone have any idea why we’d create jobs in Elkhart?

My only guess is to take over the operating of our Chicago to Detroit trains over the CSX trackage thru Lansing.

I just noticed a very small blurb in Feb 05 Trains, page 9 saying NS has committed to give us trackage rights “on an improved route” from Chicago to Detroit. Would Elkhart be a logical place to swap crews?
