Hi I´m Christian from Germany,

can me someone says which CP SD40-2 numbers has a snoot nose /longer like the samples 5900 and so on?

I read that this noses should be like the of the U.P. units.

CP Rail’s extended short hood is 102" long. Not sure of the number series.

According to Charles McDonald’s “Diesel Locomotive Rosters”, the CP SD40-2 ‘locotrol’ units were numbered 5800-5879.
