In the 50’s Cp had a snow blower in Mtl st.Luc that sucked up the snow and it was melted and by means of a conveyer belt overhead was sent back to several tank cars or hoppers which then were sent to the middle of the Mercier bridge and the snow or water would be dumped into the St.Lawrence river. I’m not quite sure of the of the operation of this unit?// Was it one of a kind and what was the disposition of this equipment?
Alco GE,
Thanks! That is a cool photo (pardon the paradoxical pun), and informative post.
As a scientist that has invented a few things, I love seeing “Necessity” in action.
Although sorry to say, I never saw the “Mothers of Invention” in concert.

Michael
As you can see from my question to this item in the forum, I was very vague about this eqpt and its operation. Many thanks to all who replied.
