CPRS/SOO Horns

I was wondering what type of whistle is on the CP SD90MAC-H II? I saw one this week and it didn’t sound like the normal CP horns. Next I was wondering what horn is found on the Soo Line SD60 6000 series? Also is there a type of whistle that is the loudest or does it depend on the way the railroad has the horn tuned, like can you raise or lower how loud the whistle can be?

Well in Canada it’s legally mandated that the same three-chime horn be used by the railroads; but now with so much of CP being in the US I suppose they can use a five-chime or whatever they want, as long as they don’t use the engine in Canada (at least not as a lead unit).

Those SD60’s are leading trains in Canada, so I suppose they have three-chime air horns.
