[:-^] Ok train nut’s hows this . A N-scale train set on your dashboared YES OR NO
AL
I think it would distract you from concentrating on the safe use of your cell phone.
These days, for me, ‘dashboard’ refers to a form of computer desktop. But I think you mean a dashboard in your car. If you think you had problems with the sun ‘melting’ the glue for your layout buildings in your previous post - you ain’t seen nothing yet if you tried this - even as a joke. Let’s see, just for fun, I’m presuming you have dashboard in an older car that is a large slab. I still don’t think you’d have enough space for an oval because of the windshield. But as a display, you could try to attach a band of straight track and then tie a train to it. (if not secured, you’re also asking for trouble - I’ve seen someone do this with a small Marx train but in the rear window well of a large, older car. The track was screwed into the base and the train tied to the track with a twist tie that was colored the same as the engine…
I prefer to exploring mounting an air chime or air whistle instead of a horn.
Just think your back drop would be differnt every day ,I guess it would be a front drop
N scale would be too small for other motorists to see. It should be G scale.
Here in North Texas, you can watch it melt with your kids crayons.
N scale locomotive ear rings; or better yet, N scale belly rings
The lights on the train could go with the beat on the radio. ![]()
dont for get about the horn that would move some cars out of your way
In the opinion of this disabled auto mechanic there is a vehicle with a large enough da***o support your idea. Chevy’s Lumina(not the car version)and Old’s Silhouette I believe have about 15 square feet of dash space. You would need an AC converter to run the trains. Now about keeping them on the tracks…he he

I always thought of taking an old diesel horn and putting it on the car.
I don’t see what all the fuss is about, you just need an AC converter.[:D]

But going through a roadblock can be a real pain!!![:D]

No you don’t. N-scale and HO-scale trains normally run on 12 volts DC. Many Lionel-style locomotives will move adequately with that voltage also. All you need is a rheostat.
Gee, if only I had known. I could have installed the Lionel DC powered ferris wheel as well.[:(]
John, I love it.
Use “O” gauge equipment with magnetraction trucks installed on all the rolling stock = no derailments, hopefully.[:D]
Jon, MTH sees that and they’ll come out with a controller that plugs into your cigarette lighter. And they will patent it “MTH proto cruiser”.
Use “O” gauge equipment with magnetraction trucks installed on all the rolling stock = no derailments, hopefully.[:D]
I nominate Highrailjon for the CTT post of the year award. Is there a second?
