I was trying to think of a funny comment but then it hit me how very true that statement is. I wonder where the marketing company got the idea for that commercial? Jamie
Kiwi’s ad agency SMFB picked up a couple of prizes this year - one for an earlied ad in the Kiwi “a penny here, a penny there” campaign.
The model train ad might be in the running for a silver fish next year. Sound track on the ad is Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” from the 1980 Album “Blizzard of Oz”.
According to a press release from the ad agency, they consulted with Norwegian model railroader Styrkar Bråthen (http://www.styrkar.com/), who also built the models used.
Styrkar also makes the layout that the Norwegian embassy in Washington sets up every christmas in the Union Station in Washington, DC.

Incredibly clever and witty. I enjoyed it a lot. American commercials could learn something from this and possibly take us out of the ‘niche’ and more into the ‘mainstream’ with some advertising featuring our hobby at this level.
