Criticize!!

I’m having a layout built and I would like to obtain other people’s feedback on it. Please visit my homepage at www.geocities.com/greenwoodandpocono/
The layout represents a East Coast shortline in the late 1960’s and early 70’s and is designed to fit in a small part of a bedroom.

well, there’s not much to see on your layout. But it seeems to be a good base for a small but nice layout. Maybe you add newer pictures ?
So the oinly thing to criticize is your homepage. Try to split it. Not everyone wants to scroll down the whole history and other text just to find a few pictures at the end.

I’m an amateur as well

Looks really nice. You seem to fit a lot in a small space.

Your homepage has some good info, but I do recommend you break it up into sections.

Hi Guys,

Hi Guys,

Hi Guys,

Hi Guys,
Thank you very much for taking your time and giving me some feedback. The layout is indeed somewhat far from complete (the pics on the page show that - note the date); I believe I will only receive the layout in the middle of next year… What I would also like is some help with choosing scenery (especially colors and materials) corresponding to the area in question - It woul help me a lot. I’m also in doubt about the geology of the region: what kins of rock formations would I find? With what kinds of rocks?
As for the homepage, I’going to see what can be done - previous experience with a split homepage has left its scarson on me…

Hi, Just looked at your photo’s and trackplan,
Nothing to critisize at all, looks very nice and compact.
The plan itself, looks like an early version of the Lilliput Logger (8’ by 4’) by Iain Rice.
All in all, good looking layout, keep it up.

I get a ‘Page Not Found’ on your link, so I’m just guessing from the url that your setting is northeastern Pennsylvania. Most of the Pocono Plateau is underlain by reddish and brownish flat-lying to moderately dipping sandstones and mudstones of the Catskill Formation (Late Devonian, ~370Ma and younger), much of which was formed as river and delta deposits. Here’s a typical cut through Catskill Fm rocks, although from an area southwest of yours:

Look at the dates on the posts.

D’oh!1!

Nevermind…
