crossing gate

I have a Lionel No. 47 Crossing gate for which I would like some information. I believe I received it in the early 40’s, but can’t be sure. Does any one know when it was produced? Is is worht anything. It has a double gate and is operated by pressure when the train approaches.
Thanks

You are right in the ballpark. The 47 was made from 1939 to 1942. Depending on its condition, it could be worth over $150. The 2003 Greenberg pocket guide has excellent condition at $165.

Thank you for the info.
