I’ve been trying to decide which crossing signals to use on my layout… Does anyone have any thoughts on the Lionel 14098 signals versus the DZ Z Stuff 1010S signals? Which is the better bang for the buck?
I appreciate any advice you have to offer!
Thanks!

The DZ Z stuff is more to scale than Lionel and can work with other DZ Industry stuff. Look at them both and then decide.

I have the 6-12062 grade crossing for Fastrack. I know it’s not what your asking about, but I think they’re the same operating mechanism.
The signals are very dependable, and the sound can be switched off. I’ve run them on the Christmas layout for 3-years now.
The gates only raise up about 45 degrees. I believe the DZ goes all the way up.
I don’t have any experience with the DZ products.

At York, DZ had a layout and I watched and asked questions. I was impressed by the flexibility of their system.
