i know what u mean dude. we just got the hq bulletin and it is posted on the bulletin board. csx is going to hell in a hand basket and we are going with it. along with the letter about the stop on our stock purchase option we all know something bad is coming.

Well, when CSX pays out all of its earnings to the stockholder, they have to get the money from somewhere to bribe the bigger purchasers. I mean, what else can you expect today.

I feel it was wrong for Csx to do that.With choices like that being made everyday they should really look at the balance sheets.

If the senior executives from CSX want the Super Bowl tickets so very much, they should buy them out of their own very deep pockets.

Wall Street has been saying that CSX had too many people and was wasting too much money for the last couple of years.

CSX is also suffereing from the price cutting they did to capture a lot of the intermodal and other business from NS in the CR split. That low revenue doesn’t justify a high head count. Also, I am hearing that they are again short crews on the Water Level Route and some priority trains have dies and sat for several hours awaiting crews. Obviously with UPS biz going to NS more could be in the offing…

A lot of guys i talked to are concerened too.I hope I can take them a calendar before they get laid off?I choose the big conrail engine in van wert for December.

From what I hear (CSX newsletter/ Trains.com newsletter) CSX is trying to cut back basically on Non-union workers, and the Super Bowl will be in Jacksonville, so the city wants to fix up the stadium or something and asked CSX to be part of some “community involvement” ticket sales.

Of course, What do I know, I watch all this from the nosebleed section!

I think they should ask Al Snow to buy the super bowl tickets one for every CSX employee on the system. im sure after his bonus for leaving CSX it wont hurt him the least .
