CSX crew brings happy ending

LOUISVILLE – There’s a happy ending to the case of an elderly Alzheimer’s patient who disappeared in metro Louisville.

Elmer West, 81, was found along railroad tracks near Ralph Avenue late Tuesday morning, WLKY NewsChannel 32 reported.

The crew of a passing CSX freight train spotted him, stopped the train and got help.

Joe

And you know what?
I bet they went out of their way to do so…

Class act, guys!

Ed

I also bet they didn’t ask for a reward or extra pay.

Good Job, Guys!![bow][bow]

That IS great news to hear. Let’s give three cheers to the train crew!!

I would like to think that the guy probably wanted to do a bit of railfanning but i am glad that he did not get hurt and 2 thumbs up to the crew for getting help.

Funny how when we are lost and can’t even remember our names, we seem to gravitate towards the choo-choo’s. Must be in our genes…[:D]

Just goes to show that no matter how much we may dislike a corporate entity, the guys (and gals) on the ground are real people. Nice job!

I just hope there is someone left who will look out for me when I get to that point in life.

I hope that the CSX brass gives them some type of official recognition or commendation for being dedicated railroaders that look out for the public while doing their duties.

It’s so nice to have a happy story – thank you, and hats off to the crew involved!
