The East bound freight evidently hit a sink hole. Anyone know the reason for what appears to be an extended time to clear up this problem. Amtrak has cancelled all traffic thru the area.
The concurrent flooding along the Mohawk River couldn’t have been any help.
At least one locomotive went into the ditch. If the ground is unstable, that had to be a problem in and of itself.
