It seems a bit odd to find this article originating in Jacksonville, FL, rather than Omaha, NE, or Fort Worth, TX.
Very good point, Mr. Bates. You would have thought one of the “western roads” would have thought of this.
I’ve said it before, but I know everyone chastised CSX for their conservative efforts of recognizing their predecessors history, but I do believe they are writing their own history with their efforts of reaching out to the general community, as opposed to putting a paint job on a locomotive that few folks really appreciate.
Is CSX going to try to replace coal with corn? There both 4 letter words beginning CO, and best hauled in bulk by unit trains. Maybe CSX will try to burn ethanol in their locomotives. :
