Hmmm…
an app , that would securely download, store and lock-in until the crew went off duty, the warrant and track bulletins, train list and “graph and hazmat info,” to each crew members Ipad- like device with a phone call to the dispatcher or RTC office. It would have the caller enter the train ID and the phone numbers of the crew.
Voila. one big conference-call text message later and each crew member is…informed and…
good to go… to the train and then, wherever the train is destined.
Of course, somebody’s probably already thought of this…
A concurrent link to to functions using radio transmissions, like EOT devices, switching instructions, train defect detectors, dispatcher alerts and courtesy calls through and using the IPad-like device.
