CSX MOW Equipment & MBTA Action in Worcester, MA

Caught some CSX maintanance equipment in Worcester, MA while waiting for the commuter train. Anyone know what they’re doing? Looks to be something at the junction just West of where I was standing, (the junction is where the Pan Am line to Ayer and the Providence and Worcester line to Gardener joins the CSX main, along with the P&W ramp track down to the P&W yard, even more west of Worcester Union.)

Production Tie gang with part of a Steel gang … cannot see clearly enough if it is a curve relay/ transposition gang or relaying new rail (Flash-butt welder off in the distance).

(and they were travelling or not working)
