How long has CSX existed?
I can’t remember but I know it was created with the merger of Chessie System and the Seaboard. I think it might have been done in 1990’s (late) when Con Rail was split up but I think I am wrong.
Corporately since 1980 and as a railroad since 1986.
November 1, 1980 was the day the merger was consumated.
