No. In the late 70’s & early 80’s they sponsored the Chessie Steam Specials and the Safety Express steam trips using ex-RDG 2101 and ex-C&O 614. I believe fear of lawsuits is behind their anti-steam position at this time.
Delighted to see that this wonderful tradition continues. Having visited at several stops of the train, last year, and hearing testaments from local residents about the enthusiasm for the train, it touches many lives and hearts -including this observer. The Santa Train is the cherished start of the Christmas season in Dante.
