CSX SD70MAC + What? (Pardon the simple question)

I live in CSX country (upstate New York), but am not able to get out to railfan as much as I would like to due to medical restrictions. Returning from the doctor’s the other day, though, I spotted a long string of double stacks pulled by 2 diesels. The lead was a SD70MAC (476X, couldn’t make out the last digit), but I could not identify the second diesel. It really did not look like a SD70MAC.

My friend (as chauffer!) wanted to know what it most likely would have been, so I said another SD70MAC. Then I got to thinking, why another SD70MAC? So here’s my question — in your experience, would the second diesel just as likely have been another SD70MAC or what?

I have seen CSX freights come through my town with up to 10 units on one train.I Think they will run anything together,so it’s hard to guess what the 2’d unit my have been.Last week a saw a consist of new widecab CSX units on a freight with an old gp-30 road slug in the lead! I’ll bet the crew loved having that prize as the lead unit!

CW44AC’s are the most plentiful locomotive on the CSX roster.
