I was looking at the 2008 CSX Dearborn Sub timetable and it listed different maximum speeds for “TV” and “Freight” trains. Can someone please tell me what a “TV” train is? Thanks in Advance!
Sounds like TV is a throwback to the early intermodal (TransVan?). And that’s probably what it means.
Thanks. It was from a 2008 Timetable.
I don’t think I can remember a time it wasn’t “Trailer Van”.
Agreed. The term just didn’t come to me at the time.
Mystery solved! Thanks for the help.
Seems to be a PRR/PC/CR term in origin … never seen the term used anywhere else.
I believe it was “TrailVan” back in the day.
It is not used on the non-ConRail parts of CSX.
“+1”
Going back to the OP, I believe that denotes IM.
