csx trains

i would like to know how many people model csx.

I like their paint scheme. I have one Atlas GE DASH 8-40C in CSX paint scheme that i’m trying to sell.

CSX has a major interchange with the Interport (freelanced short line) Canadian Nationa and Canadian Pacific on my line. They’re also the freight line that has trackage rights over the freelanced commuter rail line that I model so even thought I model Canada, CSX is still my primary freight hauler.

I’ve got two Bachman C40-8Ws (one ex-Conrail NYC patched) a Walthers B40-8, four Athearn C44-9Ws, and a pair of Athearn GP38-2s (one in the operation Redblock paint)

I think I’m actually more than halfway done getting the motive power I’ll neeed for the CSX trains on my line but I intend to get some smaller power for locals. I’m thinking I really want to get a pair of U18B as I like how they look. I may also repaint one of them in the orange pumpkin MOW scheme just for variety.

Cheers!

I don’t, but I wouldn’t mind getting one AC4400 or something. I saw one come though town when I was liveing in Montana, and it looked pretty sweet. It was the all blue paint theme. It would be though, the last engine on my list.

I actually saw one of those Orange CSX engines when I was in Philly back in the '90s. Well, its a big deal for me coming from San Diego.

Yeah. Sure do. It’s the main railroad on my layout.

Too modern for me. However, I model one of CSX’s primary ancestor railroads; the Seaboard Coast Line. Do I miss it!

Ahh yes, the route of the U18B’s!

I will have a few on my railroad. I recently repainted a P2K CSX SD60 to Primer IC.

Happy Railroading.[swg][swg]

I model Conrail in the 90s, but CSX has trackage rights on the line I model. I currently have 2 SD70MACs and a GP38-2 for my CSX power.

I do not model CSX,but CSX is one of the railroads my freelanced Grande Valley interchanges with so yes I do model some CSX trains.

My last layout I modeled Conrail in the early '90’s. With my new layout… the Allegheny & Cumberland, I’m still in the early '90’s, but just as many CSX trains are roaming the rails as Conrail .

Heck no! I see the butt ugly things everyday at work. I prefer to see something a little more classy when I come home, like D&H Lighting Stripes.

I have a atlas 8-40c with sound and sd-70mac hopefully with sound soon.

I model the csx’s RF+P . From Richmond to alexandria .

Just 2 locos for interchange service with the Midland. 1 GP38 in bright future, and 1 SD40-2 in “dark future” with the logos revamped to look like this
Someday soon I hope to take a GP30 and make a road slug out of it.

yep thats my railroad http://ztrainman.tripod.com/

I’ve got extensive drawings, a set of blueprints and a collection of pictures for the industrial district of Quantico VA. I will eventually make the model but that is probably 10 years off as I need to finish school before anything really happens in my life.

I despise CSX. They purchased and then trashed the local short line that I do model (W&OD). They also trashed my 3rd and 4th-favorite roads (Western Maryland and B&O, respectively). They also have a poor reputation with shippers compared with Norfolk Southern (although better than UP, but hey, ANY other railroad is better-operated than UP).

I got a dash 8 that makes an occasional appearance on my layout. Aside from the UGLY Silverliner MU’s from SEPTA that roll around here it’s the only REAL loco I get to see.
