People like the driver that caused that are proof that the gene Pool is in DIRE need of some chlorine!!
Lee, I’m pretty certain a suspended license won’t stop this clown. My uncle spent forty years in the Philadelphia fire department, and the stories that are told of pure driver ignorance and lack of respect for anything are amazing.
Just plain, flat-out arrogance. I hope that the driver recovers, has a long life WITHOUT ever getting his drivers license back.
In today’s society, you know what’s going to happen? One of these gene pool bottom-feeding lawyers is going to represent the driver of the vehicle and sue CSX saying it was their fault. You watch and see…
I agree with John’s uncle. Working for a police department, it is amazing how people do not pay attention. I actually had a person agrue with me that they needed to go down a closed road because their GPS said so. Chances are this driver was probably OVI or just wantd to go home and did not know any other way.
Alcohol, drugs and just plain stupidity are the three most common reasons for incidents such as these. It is shameful that so many people drive and are into their own little world while in automobiles. Hoping the employees that were injured will be all right.
This sounds very similar to what happen a few years ago in southern California. Where a driver went through a closed street (street fair was going on). He was able to miss parked cars, trucks and barricades for about 2 and 1/2 blocks. But only run over people because his throttle was stuck. People will not damage his car as much a barricade, truck or other vehicles . The driver wanted help from the paramedic because he is a victim also.
16 years of driving a truck and watching how all too many operate their motor vehicles has convinced me that there are all too many drivers out that received their drivers license as the prize in a box of Cracker Jacks.

being a volunteer fireman one night about 11pm in heavy down pour with our fire truck blocking the road due flooding a women driver flew by us only to be stopped by the water came back up to us and said we didn’t have the road complete’ly blocked off that’s why she went by us a big ladder truck blocking three lanes wasn’t enough to warn her
