Greetings,
I haven’t been active in model railroading for quite a few years, aside from aquiring a piece of HO rolling stock here and there. But recently I decided to dip my to dip my toe back in by painting some locomotives I have on hand. First I painted an Athern F-M Trainmaster in CNJ green with yellow stripes, using Tru-Scale paint.
That came out quite nice, so next I wanted to do an SD40-2 in CSX Bright Future colors. In the past I really liked using Badger ModelFlex paint, so I found some CSX blue and grey, but then discovered they don’t offer CSX yellow. One shop had an n.o.s. bottle of Poly Scale CSX yellow, so I gave that a try and…well let’s just say it didn’t go so well. So back to Badger. They have a bunch of different yellows in the lineup. Is there a shade of ModelFlex yellow that’s reasonably close to CSX yellow?
I see Tru-Scale offers it, but I’d rather avoid mixing paint types on the same model, and I already have those two jars sitting on the bench.
Thanks,
Tom
