CSX's Current Paint Scheme and the Greatest Movie Never Made. (More picking on Bergie)

As has been said many times before. Alot of people think that CSX’s new paint scheme looks alot like the old B&O’s late 60s paint scheme. So with that in mind, maybe we can get CSX to put some old B&O decals on some GP30s and 35s or something and we can do the greatest movie never made.

McHale’s Navy on the B&O

Featuring

Jim Hediger as Fearless Leader

Allen McClelland as Boris

Sharon McCLelland as Natasha

Andy Sperandeo as “Moose”

Cody Grivno as “Squiril”

Halle Barre as “Pheobe Snow”

Close, but not 100% correct - it was the C&O that painted solid yellow noses on their GP30/35’s and SD35/40’s in the early-to-mid Sixties. Even though they had recently taken over the B&O, they never applied any Capitol-dome emblems over a yellow background.

By the time B&O and C&O schemes were identical, locos were 100% “enchantment” blue (including the ends) with yellow stripes, lettering and logos.

I agree with you though, I’d love to see CSX introduce a few ‘heritage’ schemes like a few of their western counterparts have been doing![:P]

That is hilarious! I can just imagine it.

Too bad the only GP30s and GP35s left on CSX are slugs…
