Does anyone know if CSX has any C30-7’s left on their roster? In my area i used to see them often but i haven’t seen any for quite some time. Mike H.
They have one left (#7037). The rest of them were sold at auctions in Waycross,Ga.
I have been wondering where the C30-7’s have gone. CSX used the C36-7 and C30-7 along with other power on rock trains here in Augusta,GA. The C36-7’s are now OHCR property and the C30-7 they have left the building. At that time I knew they had a few years left on them on CSX but that didn’t last, always liked seeing them hope they found a good home RR now. When I was in Waycross at Progress Rail waiting to be rebuilt CSX 7001 and CSX 7126 were they along with another C30-7 in the back. Does anyone know where 7037 is at?

I’ll keep an eye out for 7037. CSX is doing maintenance work around here.

I have now seen two different reports. One says 7037 was sold and one says it is the only one still active so… I am not sure.
