CSXT going 30mph on Buffalo to Syracuse????

Why is CSXT going 30mph on the Buffalo to Syracuse chicago main line at night. Did the train crews get a form D or a EC1 form from CSX NF dispatcher. I would not think that the train crews would go 30mph from Selkirk NY to Buffalo NY???

Is every train going 30?

If so it could be a Heat Order or other Slow Order.

If it was one train, they probably had an EOT failure, which limits the train speed to 30 MPH. They could also have not had enough power to make track speed.

It’s freight and passengers trains that are doing 30mph, but the nf dispatcher didn’t order heat or slow order at all. Which is very very odd.

Then it’s not a Heat Order. It’s probably a temporary speed reduction listed in the train bulletins. So you wouldn’t hear a Form D being given.

It is trackwork season. And 30 mph is a common speed in work zones.
