This post is one that I feel should not have to be made. As a member of the TCA I was shocked that other members where so greedy. Give me a break people, I got to the table at 9:04 and you boneheads took 1000 buttoms in four minutes. I have been getting them since 2000 and have only taken one. You all are a disgrace to the TCA!!!
Maybe 1,000 trainiacs made it to the CTT booth ahead of you during those first four minutes? [:-^]
I didn’t get one either, I’m not upset. Maybe you can trade someone?

This is only the second time Karen and I obtained a CTT pin. We were in line to enter the Orange hall at the side entrance by the Brown hall. The majority of the line went straight to the CTT area which is what my wife and I did. When we got to the CTT display, less than a minute after the hall opened, the supply of pins was already very limited. I did not see anyone take an excessive number of pins. Karen and I each got one pin and by the time we got around the other side next to the MTH display they were all gone. They were certainly popular, again!
If CTT is located in the same place next time there is an entrance right next to their display area. If this entrance is open on Friday morning might be a good place to enter to assure yourself of getting a pin.
Greg, that is the entrance I came in. I knew that somer or later I was not going to get one, but come on, 1000 gone in 4 minutes. There was not 1000 people in that building at 9:04, maybe a couple hundred at most.
maybe they never had them in the first place ![;)]
I totally agree. There is no way that many could have been taken unless our fellow TCAer’s were stuffing their pockets with multiple buttons. CTT; how about putting a hundred or so out every hour and give the rest of the world a chance. BigRail
Maybe they didn’t make 1000 ?
I disagree on the number of people in the building. I have no doubt that there were over 100 people ahead of me at the side entrance I was at. Since there are a number of entrances including one right next to the CTT display area I would not be surprised that there were well over 1000 people in the hall in the first minute it was open. I believe it is well known that there are a limited number of CTT badges available and I don’t find it surprising that the badges went quickly. The only other time we got a badge, we were in line at the front entrance to the Brown hall and by the time we had walked to the CTT display there were not that many badges left then either. I can only conclude that people had scoped out the closest entrance on Thursday and used it to get there badge.
I personally did not see anyone hoarding badges but saw lots of hands reaching for them.
Sounds to me like CTT should bring more buttons next time.
Gee, I didn’t realize that they were such hot collectibles! If anyone is looking for some of the early year issues, I’ll be happy to part with my mint condition ones for a ridiculously (high) price. [8D]
Hi Allan, still thinking of you these days…
Great idea, only putting out a hundred or so every hour, that way everyone has a chance. How bout iy GIZ of CTT?

I’ll pay any price! They will go great with my pog collection!
The CTT Buttons for this year must have had a photo of Lazs’ 800 lb Bear with a 1688 on it.[;)][;)][:o)][:o)] Making them a real crowd pleaser for the folks in attendance.[;)][;)] Take Care.
