Cumbres and Toltec

I’ve heard that the C & T narrow guage railroad is ending this year, is this true?

The C&T has had its troubles, but so far as I know it’s still running… and is a terrific ride, if anyone is out that way!

Ditto on a great ride. Have done it twice, once each way. Would do it again if in the area.
The Durango and Silverton is also a great ride. Different type of scenery than C&T. Saying which is better is like comparing a truck and car. Both are for different purposes and cannot be effectively compared.

Agree with wrwatkins, both are great. Cumbres & Toltec is in a more remote area.

Hey wrwatkins and MP57313, for the benefit of us mob way down under, :)][;)] can you briefly describe the different scenery around the D&S and the C&T? [:)][;)]

Cheers

…Hi Dave…[Kozzie}, haven’t seen you on here much lately…You wouldn’t be preparing for Spring now would you…I’m I correct in assuming your Winter’s aren’t that severe…

Hey Quentin! [:)] Hope you are going ok [? ;)]

I haven’t been able to post a real lot lately. Not having much RR knowledge [:I] doesn’t help. Also, not being “local” [:I] I don’t always catch on to some of the things talked about such as in the “Diner” [:p] with some of the diffferent names for dishes - they have me guessing sometimes. [;)]

Anyway, [:)] not to worry, [:D] I still find plenty of interesting stuff.

Yes Spring has already started, and yes, our Winters here in Brisbane are very mild. But then we get quite hot and humid in Summer. “What you miss on the swings, you catch on the roundabout” heh heh [:)]

Dave

Mark [:)][;)] - I’ve finally worked out how to get to Google Images! [:I][:I][:I]
Thanks for the advice - the pictures are very good!

Cheers [:D]
