Current Projects

Who’s working on any projects currently?[?][?][?][?][?][?][?]

I am planning to buy an airbrush sometime, then superdetail my set of Burlington F-3’s, buy some undec. cars and paint and letter them, get a few Walthers CB&Q cabooses to superdetail, and come up with a good plan for my new layout, as well as find information to scratchbuild models of a few industries located in Burlington, IA.

I am a very busy guy right now![:D]

BTW, since I’m going to be detailing and weathering quite a few models, whenever my parents decide to get a digital camera I’ll post pics of my work.[:D]

I am currently working on my Walthers Cornerstone Depot, hopefully all have a airbrush in a couple of weeks to start painting.

Working on 2 U.P. SD70M’s today

Trying to tear down my 4’x9’ free standing layout and start benchwork for my around the room shelf layout.

Finishing up the benchwork for my layout.

I’ve been figuring out how to work this digital camera. I’ve taken bunch of pictures and posted them here:

Kudos Old Man!!!
Looks like I could learn a trick or two, three, four, etc… from you.

Nice detailing, I wouldn’t mind seeing more scenery though !

Keep it coming!

As for me I’m still working on the turntable which should be done in a couple of more months.

I’m in the middle of painting and detailing a pair of GP7s for Clinchfield.

putting road numbers on a wood sided C&O caboose, and painting and detailing a series of C&O GP9’s

Well, I have a 40’ flat that needs paint (My first resin kit), a 52’6" Combination door box that’s about half done (My first flat kit), I’m also working on a CP 34’10" Plywood sheathed van and a GP40-2L(W) that’s on the backburner right now.

I have lots on the old list but never seem to find the time or ca***o get them done ---- more so the cash. [:)]

[:D][:D]Playing with custom decals this week. [:D][:D]
I’ve got 3 brass caboose kits I plan to start next week. Going to try to assembly line build them, thinking this may save me time in the long run.[%-)]
We’ll see!

I’m in the process of building my first MRR in about 30 years. N-scale of the Reading in Anthracite coal country. I’ve been building the benchwork for about a month now. I get little time to work on it. It’s going to be a wall mounted shelf unit about 10’ long and 24" wide with an L section about 3’ long. In addition to building the benchwork, I’ve been collecting rolling stock etc from Ebay and locally. I’ve purchased a few engines, a string of hoppers, and 3 MRC power packs. I also early on purchased a great selection of Kato Unitrak. I hope to fini***he basic benchwork in the next few days. Then the next move will be puchasing some Pink Foam and some scenic designs incline sets. I’ll post pictures in the near future. Thanks, Dave

I’m working on a 2x2 foot diorama for a museum.

It’s a small engine terminal–currently I am working on the roundhouse (a heavily kitbashed Heljan roundhouse) and next is the turntable. Even cut down and using short 1890’s dimensions, it will take some squeezing to get everything into a 2x2 space.

I recently completed most of the benchwork and fitted some 2" foam for my base. I am now putting down some track and redesigning my track plan. This is my first layout in about 25 years. It has been a fun learning process.

I worked on mountain slopes last month. They turned out great! Now I’m decaling a GP9 shell and I have three GE 70 tonners to decal next. That should complete my roster for a year or two.

My tracks are all laid and 25% of the scenery is done. I’m just not motivated to play in the paint and plaster this month. Oh well, moods change.

Atter fininshing my last GP 38-2 in severe weathered paint I decided to take it easy and just replace the door on an Athearn PS 5344 GTRA car and two IM cylindricals in Canpotex after redoing the sill and brake rigging. You can check out the CN GP38-2 at my website.

i am wanting some to do some kitbashing projects but i am still in the planing stages and desinging my layout.

My current project is detailing, painting, and decaling a Stewart C630 for my freelanced Potomac Valley Lines railroad. It goes slowly especially since I spend most of my free time with my girlfriend[:D] or with my camera trackside on the weekends.

Just finished up tracklaying on my engine servicing area. Now I have to wire it and add the scenery. I’m going to wire it for dc even though I’m going to DCC asap but I figured it’s probably noto a bad idea to be able to turn off this area so I don’t have engine “wanderinig” when I don’t want them too.
