Is there anybody who will custom paint a couple of GP-38’s for me? I have tried doing art before and I stink. I am pretty new to THE hobby and finally found the railroad that i would like to base my layout on The Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad operating beetween Eugene Oregon and Black Butte California, unfortunately I have not seen any models that come in this flags colors… So if I bought a couple of GP-38’s and shipped them to you and payed you some money (how much?) to do the proper scheme (link below) and road numbers would someone be interested in this job?
your best bet is to mask off the engine and paint the basic colors, then use microscale decals for the rest…microscale decals can cover the worst of the worst paint jobs…they sell decals for almost any road imaginable (for example,) the SP "black widow " paint scheme would be impossible to paint by hand , spray can or airbrush on an F-7 A unit, but with a set of the microscale “black widow” decals i can cover the entire engine with the Black widow scheme by using the decals …all i had to do was paint the engine black and the engine nose silver and the rest of it was decaled with microscale decals… …chuck
I tracked this down from MR Great 2004. I have not contacted them yet, but they do custom painting.
