Cutting out resin windows with an Exacto knife

Found an easy way to control an Exacto knife with a #11 blade while removing the resin flash from an F&C MP-54 passenger car. Previously I would have made numerous passes with the knife until the flash was cut through. Strictly by luck I was sitting in my Lazy Boy watching the Cubs Sunday and decided it was as good a time as any to remove the flash. I made a light pass down the edge of the frame and then had an Ah ha moment. I placed the tip at about a 30 degree angle so it would undercut the frame and steered it with my right hand. I held the car in my left hand and place my thumb against the back of the blade. I could then push the blade with my left thumb while controlling where it went with my right hand. I didn’t mess up one frame and had the best control I have ever had as I was using no force with my right hand. Thought this might be of use to somebody else. If you are left handed just reverse the procedure.

I just drag the blade at about a 30 degree angle. Seems to work pretty good.
